    Good day!

i have received an email from my registration officer and i have some problems with my papers. i hope somebody can enlighten me here.

    First:

Identification documentsPlease provide certified copies of identification from categories A – It is not clear whether your passport has been certified by a notary public. Please have your identification documents recertified by a Notary Public

I am pretty sure that the photocopy of my passport was notarized since it's the last document that i attached, should i pass any other document or should i just send another notarized photocopy of it?

    Second:

    Qualifications
For information on the requirements, please refer to the national Board website: Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia - Home and the Framework for Assessment of Internationally Qualified Nurses and Midwives
    General Nursing
Please note the minimum education requirement of a registered nurse in Australia is a Bachelor degree. A transcript of the theory subject hours and clinical subject hours as well as a record of clinical experience areas is required. In order for an applicant to register as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) in Australia they must demonstrate both theory and clinical hours in the following streams:Medical/Surgical, Adult Nursing, Community Nursing and Mental Health Nursing.

The Board require specific hours undertaken during your degree for the following streams: A breakdown of Hours undertaken in theory for Medical, Surgical, Community and Mental Health Nursing and also the breakdown of hours undertaken in clinical practice for Medical, Surgical, Community and Mental Health Nursing. In the case that you are not able to obtain a transcript of clinical and theory hours undertaken in the above streams, an official letter can be accepted.
Please have your qualification documents re-certified according to the AHPRA requirements.

I sent them the "red-ribboned" copies of my TOR and RLE hours just to make sure that they'll not ask me anything with regards to these documents. what should i send them, a notarized copy of these documents? anything that has something to do with my academic qualifications was included in the mail that i sent them.

    Third:

    Professional Reference
We require and original or correctly certified copy of a professional reference which attests to your ability to function in the workplace and carry out the tasks that you are required to perform.

All Professional references: Must be from your employer(s) meeting the criteria as outlined below. You are required to provide professional reference(s) from employer(s) with evidence that you meet professional competencies in each position
    The professional reference comes from your Nurse/Midwife Manager (who must be a Registered Nurse/Midwife) and must include all the following;

-Experience in the role that they hold e.g clinical, education, research, management
-Describe the practice setting e.g 100 bed surgical ward
-The scope of the role e.g registered nurse, student nurse
-Duties of the role and how you performed those duties
-Level/grade of the position that you hold/held
-Whether you worked in a supervised or unsupervised capacity
-Whether you are/ were employed full time or part time. If you were employed part time the number of hours per week

My reference letter does not have all the above-stated criteria, such as the roles and duties and the supervise stuff. does this mean that i should provide a reference letter from my supervisor that will contain all my clinical skills and my degree of competence in every skill that i possessed?

Lastly, should i notarized my reference letter or the original document that will suffice?

I hope that you can give me answer my queries..i'm doing this without the help of any agent or agency, i'm just depending on what i understand and from your insights in this forum.

    Thank you.

First. Just to be sure, send your passport copy again and make sure everything is notarized properly. Second, AHPRA doesn't require you to send your red ribboned documents. Since you sent your Transcript and RLE record, what they are asking now is the academic record.. It is a list of your nursing subjects only, you can ask that from the school registrar. Third, you need to provide a certificate similar to AHPRA's requirement. If youare unable to have one, attach a copy of your job description. Everything needs to be notarized. You dont have to send the originals but see to it that you send the notarized ones.

Try applying at UNISA. Ahpra letter is not a requirement.

    HI ENILOCIN,

did you send it today, for what intake? How did you pay for the $250 application fee? do you have a schedule for interview already? Well, according to some friends..first they ask you about personal things, like yourself, school, work, experiences, expectations as a nurse in Australia. The following questions are nursing work related. You will be asked how would you manage or deal with a certain situation/scenario; nursing managements, conflict resolutions..something like that.

I will send my papers tomorrow also. I'm hoping to get a slot for April. ACFE is my last chance or else my LOE expires and will have to start all over again. Sigh.
I don't have a schedule yet. They will assess my papers today. When will your LOE expire?
April's programme is already full. They are selecting students for June 3. By the time the bp ends my LOE will be also expiring.

You can apply at UNISA but the tuition fee is quite expensive and the bp duration is longer. Hoping everything will be ok for us all.

I just had my interview last Friday with Alpine Health/Lonsdale Institute for the April/June intakes. Their IRON Program costs $18500 ($13000 for the tuition fee and $5500 for accommodation and transportation). Knowing that the placements will be in Mt. Beauty, Bright and Myrtleford, I was wondering if it isn't that hard to find rooms to rent in those areas? $5500 is a huge amount. Maybe if I can find a place to stay at in those areas which is cheaper, I would go for it instead of availing their accommodation and transportation offer. The accomm and transpo are not compulsory when I asked the interviewer.
What intake schedule was offered to you? What was the content of your interview?

I was offered either April or June intake. But I was not sure whether I could make it on time for the April intake since the start date would be 16 April, I opted for June just to avoid too much time pressure. I still don't have a visa yet. Talking about the interview, it lasted i think about 20mins. The first half was about questions about myself, my work and some clinical-related. There were also 3 drug computation questions but they were really easy. No need for a calculator. And the second half was about visa processing. She also told me that it takes as early as 2 weeks up to a maximum of 6 weeks before they get everything done and send all the credentials to AHPRA.
