thanks chelsea for that input, would you say that after BP one can get a job after four(4) months max on the average? granting that applicant is not too picky....

I really don't know. Hopefully, it would be like that. Some of those people I've, during the job hunting, are getting depressed because of the long wait. Let's just hope and pray that after doing the BP, we'd be lucky to get hired. The money we will spend is a very huge amount so we have to really find a job.

Hi Chelseaxyrene,

Thanks for your info. It has been an encouragement. Could I ask, when did 3 of your friends graduate and where did they study BP?

The money for BP and cost of living is really such a big amount. I'm planning to go to Australia by student visa. What kind of visa did your friends have?

Are you done also going to Australia soon?

You will receive your letter of eligibility

Anyone for acfe january intake?

What's AcFE take on their accreditation? According to AHPRA website, ran out in September?

My advice to you guys is to really accumulate a lot of experience before coming here because when it's time to get a job, you have to compete with hundreds of other nurses. Get at least 2 years experience if you can because that's the requirement of most employers when it comes to hospitals

This is what i found on their website:The 2013 Intakes are subject to the approval of the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Accreditation Council (ANMAC). ACFE is seeking accreditation for the following programmes:-Initial Registration for Overseas Nurses (IRON) - Registered Nurse and Enrolled NurseInitial Registration for Overseas Midwives (IROM) - Registered MidwifeReturn to Practice (RTP) Registered Nurse, Registered Midwife and Enrolled NurseApplication for accreditation of these programmes is currently being processed.I will try to find out on Monday. I was offered to do a BP starting January 15. I'm currently in Sydney and moving to Melbourne for the course.
hi guyz, just wanted to ask what state does process LOE the fastest? is it still in victoria? thanks in advance :)
Are you doing a BP with acfe?

I would not proceed to a school or pay out any fees, without them being accredited ''officially'' on the AHPRA website WHEN the course starts, or it could end up another registration problem as per another course, after you have finished with AHPRA.

The accredited course list has been updated 2-3 times since september 30th 2012, 4 months ago and still no change in date and still no recognition of this on their website, ongoing does not mean they are accredited at this time. ANMAC state that no enrollments should be taken while a course is not accredited at the time of enrollment. Apparently these private school bridging courses are allowed to do as they feel.

I find it incredible that all public school courses -unis-health services, have no problems receiving accreditation, within time and yet most of the private ones struggle. Wish the accreditation processes for them were available to the public, who are paying out large fees and always concerned re their accreditation status.

seeking info/feedback ( fees, possible employment, etc) to the following bridging courses offered by....

Wimmera Health Care Group

St Vincent's & Mercy Private

Robinvale District Health Services

Ramsay Health Services

TIA for the input.
