Hi guys any kababayan here who successfully landed in Singapore as a RN? Please share your experience on how to go with the process...This country is getting us poorer...

Hi

I am planning to apply for a job in Singapore. Do you mind if you can share with me how it was like working in Singapore? Were you satisfied and felt supported in relation to career development? How was the pay? In the UK, nurse starting salary is £21,176 and in London area around £25,000/yr. Do you think Singapore offers better salary?

Thanks so much for your time. xxx

Hello I'm new here.

I hope this helps. I have a 4 and 5 months experience in a 660 bed capacity hospital in Cebu city, Philippines. I just recently applied as a staff nurse in Singapore. What I did was I submitted my credentials in an agency in manila. The qualifications for a staff nurse in Singapore are: 3 years experience as a staff nurse in a 200 bed capacity hospital. There's also an age limit. I think the maximum age is 35. All credentials should be photocopied in an a4 size bond paper and in 2 sets. The agency will actually assist with regards to the requirements for your application.

After sending my credentials the agency contacted me and told me that i have been chosen as a staff nurse applicant in a Singaporean hospital. The agency is very strict with the requirements. You have to bring along with you the original copies of your credentials on the day of the interview. Before the employer interviews you, your credentials will be checked by the agency and then the Singaporean agency as well. After passing the interview, the Singapore nurse board exam follows. In my case, the interview dates was from Sept 25-27 then the exam was at the 28th.

As of now I'm just waiting for the results. Hopefully I will pass. The results usually come out at 2-3 weeks. They actually told us the deployment dates given that we pass the exam and the medical. It will be on January for the first batch and February for the 2nd batch.

Hi Ms. Roxielee,

If I may ask, can you tell me the name of the agency you contacted for this kind of application? Also, was the snb difficult or just the same with our local licensure exam? I hope you reply with my questions, it would be a great help. Thank you ^_^

Hello Guys,

What are the usual requirements to apply as EEN in SG? And where do I apply? Do I have to be backed by an agency, or is it ok to follow-up everything on my own. Btw, I'm a Filipino BSN, RN with 2 years experience, a year as a volunteer nurse in a hosp with 300 bed capacity and a year as a clinic nurse.

Hi everybody,

As I'm looking into the threads on this subject, I can't help but noticing that there are very few non-Filipinos that are trying to get in Singapore as an RN. I'm from Canada and I plan to move in Singapore to be a Ped ICU nurse for maybe 2 years. Anybody have advice or experience to share about this situation?

Thanks.

I am an Irish nurse with 5 years experience. How do I go about applying to become a nurse and live and work in Singapore?

Hi, I don't know any agency. There were two representatives from the Ministry of Health of Singapore that went to my University and gave an orientation and then later we were ask to send applications using their form for those interested. I will try and send an email to this guy and see if I can forward you their emails. Cheers. xxx

May I know if you have used an agency to apply in Singapore and also the name of the agency that you used?
