How to renew NCLEX in Sacramento if I have no SSN

I took the Sacramento NCLEX-RN examination and passed last August 2011. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to renew it having known that I will be needing a social security number which I don't have. I would like to know if I can still renew it or just endorse it to another state. I need to send my result to the Canadian board of Nursing for verification because they now consider NCLEX as a replacement for CRNE. Been mailing them but their only reply is to send my California license number which i do not have. What steps should I take?

Do you currently have a nursing license to endorse? I saw that you said you passed the NCLEX in 2011, but I assume you did not get a license in CA because you did not have a SSN at the time, correct? Who is asking you to mail your license number? CA or Canada? If you don't have a license, there isn't really anything to endorse to another state.

Just be aware that more and more BONs are gearing towards what states like Vermont and California are doing: requiring a valid SSN in order to be licensed. However, I am not 100% sure how it works with essentially transferring your NCLEX result to another state for endorsement. I know that when you take the test, you select which state BON the result should go to, but your took it 3 years ago...

Thank you for your response! :) Yes, you're correct, I do not have a license which makes me more confused if my examination would still be valid for other purposes. Or should I take the NCLEX again? CA BON is the one that's asking for my license number which I clearly stated that I don't have.

The Canadian BON specifically Toronto is asking for my NCLEX result to be sent to them for verification that I took and passed the NCLEX-RN. Should I contact Pearson Vue instead? Or should I just apply for reciprocity to another state which does not require SSN? But the problem is I don't know if my test is still valid.

explain to California that you need verification of NCLEX pass sent to provincial college and they should be able to send it for a fee, this they have many times when verifying results to other states. No different for Canada
