hello sir/madam .thank you so much for your post .its very informative .. actually i dream to work as a nurse in Dubai .. i'm a filipina.i just wanna ask ,if how much money should i prepare to go there? ...i mean the the total amount of money
    zeldieluckz,

I am not so sure how much money should you bring but considering everything; the visa, the flight, your accommodation, your everyday expenses that would all depend on your lifestyle. If you haven't taken the exam but is planning to take it here that would be additional cost as well. If you have relatives and friends here to help you, that would be great.

Hi sir RNRouge. My contract here in KSA will end after 4-5 months and i am also planning to go to Dubai directly. I wanna ask about the authentication, since my certificate of employment will be issued from Saudi Arabia, do i still have to go to philippines for it to be authenticated by DFA or be content of the stamp given by the saudi of commerce who is the authenticating body here? Next is, i have my prometric license here in KSA too, do i have to upload both the licenses from phils and here? Thank you so much and i will greatly appreciate your reply!

    jerkimarie,

Although I think the verification form Saudi Council should be enough, you need to contact DHA to verify that information once you submitt the requirements for online application. You have to upload all your licenses and experiences within the last 5 years. If that includes your Saudi experience then you have to submit all the appropriate credentials.

Hi sir RNrouge, thank you for the reply. I just wanna clarify that all the docs that are needed to be scanned at DHA website don't need to be red-ribboned. Is that right? Thank you.

    Hello Ma'am,

I have read your post and I really thank you for this post. Ma'am, what is the minimum experience for you to work in Dubai? Is there also a minimum experience for you to be able to take the Prometric Exam? Could a 6-month experience be enough? I hope you can answer me. Thank you Ma'am and God bless you.

The latest update was that the experience should be at least 2 years.

Is the Prometric Exam basically the NCLEX? Do you know how much an American nurse would make working in Dubai? I found a hospital there called the American Hospital of Dubai which is a mid-sized private hospital. If you can help answer any questions, please let me know. Thanks.

Prometric Exam is not the same as NCLEX, though they have similarities. Computer-based, multiple choice. But if you graduated and is registered to practice as a nurse in the US, you are exempted from taking the Prometric exam.

You actually don't need to. But just to be sure, some of the employers are looking for autheticated/red-ribboned credentials when you apply in Dubai.
