- Aug 2, '11 by erick_14@faithj, for me its ok to take NCLEX-PN exam bec. it almost the same with the concept of NCLEX RN but its up to you.. At first i dont like to take the NCLEX-PN and I want to go straight to NCLEX RN but for experience coz i dont have any exp. after graduated in nursing school bec. of the problem in internship in phil. But when I decided to challenge the NCLEX PN and start to review then im surprisingly its almost the same with NCLEX RN but just a few diff... but remembered if you going straight to NCLEX RN and you failed the exam you cannot take the NCLEX PN just the rule here..
- Aug 3, '11 by Silverdragon102Quote from erick_14Where did you get the idea if you fail NCLEX RN you cannot take LPN? We have had several members fail RN and then apply to the boards to take PN and passed. Both exams are different to the extent the roles and scope between PN and RN and you need to be aware and answer accordingly@faithj, for me its ok to take NCLEX-PN exam bec. it almost the same with the concept of NCLEX RN but its up to you.. - Sep 11, '11 by Silverdragon102Quote from mitcharvi12CA has 2 different boards of nursing one for RN and one for PN. You need to submit application for which ever one you decide and all information can be found using the links to the BRN/BVNPT. Ca will make their own determination based on what you submit and will inform you if you are eligible to sit NCLEX. Remember you are not applying for NCLEX but to be a licensed nurse in the state you apply to. How long is hard to say but look at an average of 4 months for both nursing boardshi everyone.. can somebdoy help me with my problem.. im also a graduate of nursing in the philippines abut i never take NLEX or local board or i am not licensed in philippines.. im here in hawaii right now but planning to mo ve to california next year so probably ill take the exam in california.. but i dont know how to start.. i came here with a fiance visa and were married already now waiting for my greencard and working permit.. i have no idea how this process is.what is the first thing to do? how will i be able to know if im eligible to take the NCLEX-RN ..i want to take NCLEX-PN too but how long will it take? hope u can help me with this

hi erick...can you tell me what r the requirements in taking the nclex-pn..do they need a license from philippines ..? Do i have to undergo training? Or just the review. How to apply for it? - Sep 12, '11 by Silverdragon102Quote from mitcharvi12You have to submit application on the state BON website and depending on their requirements will depend on what you have to do. For CA you will need to ask your nursing school to send your transcripts to the BRN and pay any fees@silverdragon102 : thanks for the reply.. but how can i give the bon my credentials for them to evaluate? i heard i have to send the request for transcript to my school then they the going to send it to bon for evaluation? is that so?
