I graduated BSN in the Philippines 2007 After taking the exam 2x they re-evaluate my application and found out that i did not qualify to take the exam. I found out that my cases did not meet there requirements.

1st question: Do you think i can still be eligible to apply to another state like florida?

2nd question: Can i apply for LVN?

Please. Any advice????

Thanks.

Sometime September and got all of my screening and registration approval, att and all that in October.

I am currently having the same problem, I failed the NCLEX RN 3x in CALIFORNIA, when I re-applied for the exam I got a strange letter asking for my CLINICAL CASES, when I complied with all the reqs they asked me for after 2 weeks i got another letter stating "I DO NOT MEET THE MINIMUM REQUIRMENTS. and they asked me to enroll in a CALIFORNIA ACCREDITED nursing program. Now Im confused what to do next, I have been trying to call the boards but they keep telling me to comply since this has been a new issue and change of rules in the CALI BRN. Its been a tough year for me working full time as a care giver here at the same time reviewing for my NCLEX RN, Im supporting myself and dont have enough time and money to re-enroll in some nursing programs again. I really want to consider taking the LPN EXAM in cali. is this still POSSIBLE? my cousin did the same thing 2 years ago. gven the stuation i am a BSN GRADUATE of 4 years in the PHILIPPINES SWU. cebu city. and I am a permanent resident for 10 years now and I have a SSN. I did not take the NLE back in the Philippines because I was going back to L.A right after grad. I tried calling the BVN if Ican take the LPN exam but their phone lines are too busy. ANY ADVICE?

I dont mind becoming an LVN at all. Its about being practical these days, If I can make 22 an hour Im happy with that.

We have the same situation. Do you have any plans yet?I'm thinking of Sending my application to florida bon since they dont require nle.Anyone have tried this?

@stacey can you PM me? then I'll give you my FB so we can chat there, So we can both guide each other with this problem. I currently live in JACKSONVILLE FLORIDA. The only reason why I applied for the CALI RN back in 2010 is because it was a lot easier to apply in cali compared to FLORIDA. I was reading the FLORIDA FORMS and I think it also required us to take an IELTS or CG for some reason for international grads.

In regards to the LPN exam in CALI, my cousin in L.A who failed 2x also took the LPN exam and passed it the first try, shes working at a nursing home now making 23 an hour and happy with it. She plans to take her RN soon but hasnt applied yet because she is afraid to have the same problem as us at the moment. I tried calling the BVN but still busy at the moment. as soon as i get the GO SIGNAL to send my application for LPN I will send it ASAP and be serious with LVN instead. I actually see this as a career for me. Although it would be nice to be an RN its kind of tough now with all thats happening and with the economy today. Got to be practical these days

Yup ur ryt,as long as we have a degree thats what matters now. Well i talked to one of the evaluator from florida they saud that they only need the credentials to be evaluated and i believe that you have to take a class online.i want to try it but im afraid that they might my application again.

PM me guys if you like im always updated been doing research about this issue all night [email protected]

my cousin took it after she failed 2x in the NCLEX RN. she applied for it 2 years ago im not sure if they still allow this thats why i keep trying to call the BVN, to make sure if we can. As for the things she sent was her fnger print, the form, payment and her TRANSCRIPTS and things the BVN needed, she sent clinical rotations and class schedules too in case, whatever she sent to the NCLEX RN app she sent the same thing for the LPN exam. she passed the first try EASY. she keeps teling me the NCLEX PN is so much easier compared to the RN, i thought about it too, I was a deans lister back in college i was top 20 of my batch, i had good grades but why cant i pass the NCLEX RN, iwas so confident on my first try, 80, 2nd 75, 3rd try 75, still NOTHING. while i had friends who barely studied passed in VERMONT one take. could cali be a lot harder? or O.A lng? one things for sure.Im not the typical filipino who has so much pride to become a nurse just to buy that nice BMW or that big house with maxed ou creditcards/ ANY JOB isfine as long as its nursing related, this is my calling, i really want to help people and make a difference in someones life. I guess this is just from the experience i had as a care giver for the past year. LIFE is hard but all we can do is keep fighting to survive
