There have been recent instances of ones trying to endorse from NM into CA...same result...denied...as they do not meet the CA BON requirements.
Congrats on your LVN license! Where are you now taking up the deficient courses? Good luck to you!
Oh that's sad to hear. Before I was thinking of taking the RN exam in other states then endorse it, but luckily I made the right decision not to. It's not in my plan to move to other states so I decided to do my back up plan, to be an LVN. Might as well try challenging the NCLEX-PN
You can do it. At least we're still nurses (LVN), better than nothing. Isn't it? We just need to take things in a step by step process. Soon we'll get our RN licenses.
I got this grandfather who's a Hospital Administrator, he told me he had this Filipino friend, a caregiver here in California but happened to be a Registered Nurse in the Philippines. He helped him to get a job, my grand told me that this fellow Filipino is really dedicated and hardworking. He soon became a CNA. After several years he became a Licensed Vocational Nurse, then Registered Nurse. Now he's the Director of Nursing of a hospital here in Bay Area. I got inspired with his story and I'm going to meet this man this week. If he successfully fulfilled his dream, so why don't we? We just have to keep our faith, stay strong and keep going!
- Dec 18, '12 by retetestisQuote from retetestisI'm asking this because one of the NURSES here did not require by the board to fill-up the declaration form, I believe that's proudpinay. I think it's because she processed a new requirement from her school and did not request a records transfer from the BRN. Likewise for me.A question for those who already have the eligibility for nclex-lvn and those who already passed. Did the board required all of you to submit the declaration of nursing education? Thank you

From the status of the bvnpt evaluation right now which there are more applicants than before (like the month of April-July), I think mine will take more than 5 or 6 months for them to finish the evaluation.
I just want to know if there are others with the same situation who did not requested the BRN to transfer their records and who did not required by the bvnpt to fill-up a declaration. I haven't received a reply regarding my initial evaluation yet, I hope they won't request for another requirements anymore. - Dec 18, '12 by retetestisQuote from zhapper2002Thanks! Hope we all get through this temporary setback. Oh and zhapper2002, did you transfer your records from brn to bvnpt?Yes
They did send me a Declaration of Nursing Education form. After I fill it out, waited for 2 months (yes, long wait but worth it) I got my eligibility!
Good luck! Hope you get your eligibility soon and pass the NCLEX
- Dec 18, '12 by zhapper2002Quote from retetestisOh yes, we'll get through with this. Yeah, I let BRN to send a copy of my transcript to BVNPT. How many months have passed since you've sent your LVN application? I waited for about 4 months before I received my first reply letter from em, then after additional two months, I got my eligibility. Hope you get yours as soon as possibleThanks!
