Try also to ask some information for New York. I talked to one of the evaluator for CFNS and NY BON, they don't need a license in the PI. You just need need to meet their requirements or what they need. You can PM if you want

That is a good info. can you PM me regarding the NY state? I got some problems with BON too. please? thanks

to stacey05,

NO I don't have a license in the Philippines because after graduation i got my green card so it wasn't my option at that time. how about you?

Regarding LVN, I think we can tkae the exam but we need to contact again our schools for the verification of nursing program then the board will evaluate if it meet its requirements.

Cgfns means i need to take the english exam? Thanks so much ill try to check on that im thinking of taking the lvn but i dont know if they will let me do it... so helpless

No it doesn't. CGFNS is a company that offers a few different services and CVS is the option that New York uses with CGFNS. English exam is only required if sitting the certification exam usually requires English exam plus local license or the state requires a English exam and not all do

just thinking out loud here, is it possible to repeat only the class you're deficient in, take it at a community college or university in California, and be accredited for the deficiency? Yes it would involve contacting nursing programs (maybe even face to face with the director of the program) if they would allow students taking only certain classes... It'll be hard it's worth a shot for those who MUST get california license because they are permanent residents and with families and relatives in california.

@ confuzhn: I super agree to your comment. It made things clearer. Your argument should be the wisdom of the analysts.
