Denied by CABON now to take LVN..

World Registration

Can anyone help me here, I'm planning to take the LVN exam because I just got denied by CABON because of the concurrency issue..I just want to know:

Method #3 - Equivalent Education and/or Experience(the PHARMACOLOGY course)Do I need to submit it also? and how? or I just need to submit only the

Method #2 - Graduates of an Out-of-State School of Practical/Vocational Nursing.

BTW, I'm an international graduate, Registered Nurse from the Philippines but I can't sit for the NCLEX-RN exam that is why I decided to take this one. Hope someone can answer my question thank you.

Almost all of us are immigrants.we are qualified to take the LVN exam because it's CABON who suggested us to take that route if we don't want to study again to complete our deficiency to sit for the RN exam for the meantime.i have work waiting for me with a help of my relative here in Ca.thats why I need to take the exam and hope pass it ASAP.

Are you seeking to work in the US, and if so, do you already have legal working papers/a prospective LPN job?

My understanding is that for someone to come to US (noncitizen from Philippines) and work as a nurse, they must be RN, LPN does not qualify. It is also quite hard to find a job as an LPN these days.

I'm an american citizen ma'am and we(international graduates from the Philippines) are qualified to apply for a licensure exam for LPN because we went to a 4 year nursing program in the Philippines,That's what i know. But anyways, thanks for the concern.

Good luck to us kabayan! Thanks!keep me posted.God bless:nurse:

Yes kababayan!we can do this:)

thanks! is it true that we must complete our deficiency at the course of three years?

Hi...sorry to join this forum again because my mom who was in the Phil. suggested that I should take the LVN/LPN. Maybe she's right. But I'm going to take chances of appealing to my analyst (about the dean thingy) and my dad would go to Congresswoman Chu to endorse what is happening to the foreign--oh well, Philippine graduates that are applying for the NCLEX-RN.

Actually, my classmate have the same situation as I did. He is planning to take the NY NCLEX but still got a lot of things going on his mind right now...Like me, our destiny as future USRN are deemed to closure.

Hmmm....so I have a question...

If my analyst endorsed my requirements to the LVN, would that terminate my application in the CaliBRN?

Hi! Please inform us regarding your appeal to your analyst. Thanks =)

no,they gave us 3 years to finish all the deficiencies. And i saw some schools offering MED-SURG AND OB at the same semester,so that's only 1 semester.

@dragonlady....kabayan how's your application now?are you applying for other state or for the LVN exam?me still in planning stage hehehe...:)

May I know what school is it?

CCSF but i'm not sure if they're accepting students who'll be taking up deficiencies.

Kabayan unfortunately,i got denied. Now i'm processing my LVN application. Then maybe after i'll process my CGFNS-CES.How about you?
