Can anyone help me here, I'm planning to take the LVN exam because I just got denied by CABON because of the concurrency issue..I just want to know:

Method #3 - Equivalent Education and/or Experience(the PHARMACOLOGY course)Do I need to submit it also? and how? or I just need to submit only the

Method #2 - Graduates of an Out-of-State School of Practical/Vocational Nursing.

BTW, I'm an international graduate, Registered Nurse from the Philippines but I can't sit for the NCLEX-RN exam that is why I decided to take this one. Hope someone can answer my question thank you.

@dragon_lady congrats! i saw your pn result.. :) anyway where are you located? im looking for a school for this defeciency, while im processing this nclex-pn.. they said that we could go to private school... if you found one please let us know :) ill go to Biola University next week to have this check if they accept this kind of matter..

I don't have my results yet.Fingers crossed. But thanks anyway.I'm from San Francisco. How about you?Make sure it's on the Board's list of accredited nursing schools when you find one.

I'll let you know.Right now ill focus on LVN.Good luck:)

real quick question, im also planning to apply for the LVN exam, and I'm just wondering, if I wanted to ask for a new set of documents from my school such as my Transcript, do I need to give another form which is the request for Transcript again to the school? Thanks for the response. :D

Actually in LVN,there's no request for transcript form.Download the record of nursing program on the website, send it to your school and you may ask you transcript too, plus the 54 hour proof of pharmacology.

I don't know yet.I haven't find any schools that is close to me.For now,if God's will I pass my PN exam, prolly ill look for a job and earn for my tuition fee.So if there's a school offering MS and OB,ill grab it.:)

Hey girl, congrats on passing the NCLEX-PN exam! You should be able to get a job thru your sister at Kaiser! Good luck!

Hi everyone! joining in on your convo....Im also a grad from the phils. same situation - denied by CBRN. So i applied in another State (Oregon). passed the NCLEX-RN and got a license. since then i've been applying for a job all over the State pretty much...NOTHING and it's been at least 5 months!....what the heck is happening?? I couldn't read all the pages of the forum, there are 26 after all. so did anyone ever apply for the LVN in California and was successfully issued a go to take the NCLEX-PN? thank u fellow filipinos/nurses i appreciate it. we outcasts and denieds gotta stick together you know..hehe..

Howdie! I am a BSN grad form the Philippines and got denied by the CA-BRN, so I decided to challenge the LVN exams. I got eligible and luckily I passed my exam. I am now a Licensed Vocational Nurse here in California though I'm taking MS and OB classes again for me to be eligible for the RN exam since the CA-BRN have my records and I still got 2 years to complete those subjects. Did you try endorsing your RN license from Oregon to California? Might as well try it. If you gon' able to endorse it, then it'll be better. Good luck! :)

When I spoke to my analyst regarding the license in the Philippines and she said it's ok if I don't have one.I'm still waiting for my result.

Hi there! You receive the hard copy of your license yet? Thanks! I passed my NCLEX PN too and still waiting for my hard card though I already sent back to em my signed NCSBN Report that I passed my exam and the 150 license fee. Been waiting for almost a week and I keep on checking BVNPT's site if my name would show up. :) I guess Im just that anxious. lol :)

I already sent the $150 license fee together with my candidate report yesterday.

It's going to be waste of not only your time (to wait) but also of non-refundable funds.....

There have been recent instances of ones trying to endorse from NM into CA...same result...denied...as they do not meet the CA BON requirements.

Congrats on your LVN license! Where are you now taking up the deficient courses? Good luck to you!

A question for those who already have the eligibility for nclex-lvn and those who already passed. Did the board required all of you to submit the declaration of nursing education? Thank you :)

Yes you are required to submit. You won't be eligible or release your license unless you submit it.

Yes :) They did send me a Declaration of Nursing Education form. After I fill it out, waited for 2 months (yes, long wait but worth it) I got my eligibility! :) Good luck! Hope you get your eligibility soon and pass the NCLEX :)
