Denied by CABON now to take LVN..

Can anyone help me here, I'm planning to take the LVN exam because I just got denied by CABON because of the concurrency issue..I just want to know:

Method #3 - Equivalent Education and/or Experience(the PHARMACOLOGY course)Do I need to submit it also? and how? or I just need to submit only the

Method #2 - Graduates of an Out-of-State School of Practical/Vocational Nursing.

BTW, I'm an international graduate, Registered Nurse from the Philippines but I can't sit for the NCLEX-RN exam that is why I decided to take this one. Hope someone can answer my question thank you.

I'm in the same situation so I decided to go the LVN Ca route just to get things going for me. I've been procrastinating way too long. I just have to send in a few more requirements in to the BVNPT Ca. I'll start applying for the RN in another state in a few weeks so right after I take the LVN, hopefully I'll be eligible to take the NCLEX-RN in another state.

Is anyone choosing the LVN route? And if you are, run into any problems?

Its the same requirements in lvn exam..no concurrence issue when i applied last year in nclex pn..luckily i passed that exam for the first time..but before they release the result of my exam they reqiured me to submit my license in phil. I dont know why they need it..now im applying for nclex rn exam while working full time...

@erick17 hi so did you send them your license in phil? planning to take the LVN exam here.. but i dont have a license in nursing in phil.. i was denied in CABON for RN-NCLEX too.. and im looking an acredited school here in CA im from anaheim..

You can still apply for a LVN exam even you don't have a license back home.

hi dragon_lady how r u? what materials did u use for reviewing pn? right now im still waiting for my lvn eligibility, i send out march then they send me a declaration july then i submitted by end of august, i havent got anything from them yet? is there anyone here got same situation as mine ive been waiting sooo long....gr

Oh, wow, so you passed the NCLEX-PN, but the CA BVNPT will not release the test results, until you submit the local PH nursing license, correct? Wondering is this a new requirement? But for now, you did give them the local nursing license and now hold the LVN license?

I take it that you're applying for the NCLEX-RN exam now but outside of CA?

but after the exam, will i be able to get my result?

When I spoke to my analyst regarding the license in the Philippines and she said it's ok if I don't have one.I'm still waiting for my result.

@dragon_lady are you planning going back to school for the OB ang MED-SURG? is there a school here that accept just that two subjects?

I don't know yet.I haven't find any schools that is close to me.For now,if God's will I pass my PN exam,prolly ill look for a job and earn for my tuition fee.So if there's a school offering MS and OB,ill grab it.:)

real quick question, im also planning to apply for the LVN exam, and I'm just wondering, if I wanted to ask for a new set of documents from my school such as my Transcript, do I need to give another form which is the request for Transcript again to the school? Thanks for the response. :D

@dragon_lady congrats! i saw your pn result.. :) anyway where are you located? im looking for a school for this defeciency, while im processing this nclex-pn.. they said that we could go to private school... if you found one please let us know :) ill go to Biola University next week to have this check if they accept this kind of matter..
