Hi after a lot of hassle so far! My nursing school have now getting my transcript sorted for cgfns. they did not have much experiance with anything like this and were shocked how particular they are as this was all new to them. however speaking with the head of school has made things better and things are starting to progress again. I do have hours in all the specialities after my record of achievment was assessed :) yay!!. but what my main issue is still and I dont know if anyone else has this happen in their training? is that within the uk, nurses are also taught within their placement, I was hardly taught in a lab, just on real patients, like injections, catheters, iv, tissue viability ect.... All placement get graded and the student nurses needs to pass or have to do the placement again. I have over 2300 hours in clinical practice so when they ask for medical hours theory for example? do they need to also take hours of my clinical practice for teaching hours, as my teaching hours in university in for example : medical and surgical dont accrude to a huge amount about a quarter of my placement if that?, does this make sense to anyone. The school have written a covering letter explaining this but I just wondered how other schools did this?
