Hi everybody I'm a foreign nurse with current associate degrees in nursing with a concentration in OR, plus 6 years of work experience on ICU! And I was thinking in apply for the ILBON and I saw a web site ERES that in which they basically do the total certification prices... Well my question is? If my studies and current experience it's acceptable for Illinois BON.. Thanks in advance and help me please

You need to go to the Illinois BON website and look at the requirements for that state. They will give you information on how to apply. If you meet the requirements you will be given permission to write the NCLEX.You also need to look into what kind of visa you qualify for. If you are filing for Green Card you are looking at 6 years at least and you need an employer.

You can not apply for a Greencard. You require a employer to do that, same goes for work visa however work visa requires BSN minimum and job has to be advertised as a BSN job

Thanks for your time silverdragon, another question, the employer has to be a private hospital or a public? A doctors office can offer me this service? I mean they can require me for a work visa? Thanks for everything

Any employer will have to prove that the position cannot be filled by an American.

Hi and thanks again! I got another question to you, I got a BSN and a concentration in OR this is good for me? Do I need to apply with this concentration too? Plus I got 6 years of experience in ICU, cardiovascular cath and ER and of course OR! It's important to send all this experience in my application?

Thanks in advance for your time

Your experience will help but I can't say whether you will be issued a H1b. Be aware that H1b is closed now until April and even if you file until April 13 and approved you will have an interview to attend, out of the USA, and can not start working until Oct 13. This is unless the employer isn't affected by the cap and this is usually university hospitals not private employers
