I have a lot of friends and read other comments was declined either because of the theory didn't match with cases dates or didn't meet minimum requirement. So I checked my cases and I realized all my cases are same with my theory semester. It's like I got all my ob cases during NCM/theory maternal-OB semester which is 3rd year level and all my surgical cases during NCM/theory med-surg which is 4th yr. Well lucky me I completed my cases on a right time and that's why I got my eligibility.
But I think this reason is unfair because many students/graduates undergo completion of cases so it cannot be on same date.Last edit by fim1234 on Feb 22, '12 - Feb 22, '12 by retetestisThank you fim1234 for the info. How can you check the corresponding NCM or semester to the theory (OB, MS, Psych, etc.)?? Or is it the same for all of us?
- Feb 22, '12 by Ginger's MomQuote from fim1234In CA if a student does have clinical and theory at the same time they are denied to take the NCLEX. If a CA student fails theory or clinical they have to repeat both at the same time which is a great expense. Sorry the same standards should apply to all. I wouldn't doubt the next thing the CA Board of Nursing will look at is the qualifications of the instructors which usually require many years of experience and a MSN.Ok so here's what I noticed. 1)deficiency in hours..
2)theory and clinical should be done in the same semester..So how come you know better than CA Bon?
Same also in the Philippines that if nursing students fails their subjects even if its just a minor subject(health ethics,literature,etc..) we will not be able to enroll without retaking that same subject again and pass it..Last edit by proudpinay on Feb 22, '12mayang143 likes this. - Feb 22, '12 by fim1234Quote from retetestisThank you fim1234 for the info. I'm not sure if where all the same. I think not all school have same dates of semester. like tri-sem or something.
heres mine:
I had my Maternal-OB lecture 3rd yr 2009 1st semester (june-october) and all my OB cases was on august 2009.
Then I had my Med-surg lecture 3rd yr 2nd sem 2009-2010 (november-march) and all my surgical cases was on january, feb.
.so you can see that it's all between the lecture dates.
and about phych hours I'm not sure but I heard that other schools lack hours that CA-BRN requires.
if you dont want this hassle just try another state.
