Dec 1, '12I got denied coz i dont have a local license. Im an american citizen. Isnt that reason good enough?help!
-
Dec 1, '12Yeah since a local license is a requirement in some states it's really important. Being an american citizen is a plus but it won't help you out all the way if you can't provide the needed requirements for a state. Some states see a person with a license from where they were trained as a way to see that the nurse applying is competent enough to practice in the country they were trained.

Dec 2, '12I have no doubt that the courses being offered by the CSU-Fresno campus will get their 30 students and not surprised if it becomes a waiting list. But the main thing is does anyone signing up have any idea on the cost to attend, I'm figuring just the tuition fees?
If it exceeds a certain dollar amount in my case, then, it's not going to work for me. If it's too expensive, then I would suspect that many on the sign up list will also drop out. We all know there's going to be a cost to enroll but at what price? -

Dec 2, '12I think the overall cost to attend CSU-Fresno will be much cheaper than Mt. St. Mary and National Univ, as those two schools are private and heard there's no waiting list. But of course, not many of us can afford their price tag of over $7,000 plus, lol.
Fresno is a CA state university and a public campus, so it should be way less expensive -

Dec 2, '12Quote from jayceeceeI think MSMC was $7,000 and National Univ was $7,700, just the tuition part alone then add in the cost of books and supplies, figure another $1,000 plus and any miscellaneous cost....I calculated about $10,000 plus or minus a few hundred.7 grand? Needs to be paid up front? Damn!
They required a 50% deposit upon acceptance of the application and the final balance before the class begins.
