CA BRN New Requirements For NCLEX RN international students

I had already registered online in Pearson Vue but I think I'm not yet eligible to take the test. Is there an expiration date for my registration at PV?

I received a letter from CA BON requesting for new requirements such as:

  1. SS number
  2. Local license in the Philippines
  3. Copy of ur clinical rotation schedule for your cases: Assisted/Actual deliveries, cord dressing, and major/minor surgeries
  4. A complete school curriculum hundred pages or more sent directly from ur nursing school to the board. (the board doesn't accept the condensed version of the curriculum
  5. A one-page curriculum outline and academic calendar.

Fortunately, I had the first 2 requirements but I am worried that the last 3 will take time to be accomplished.

I am wondering if it's just me who have this requirement. Most of NCLEX passers I know weren't required on those listed above. It's really hard to focus on review while your thinking of this :uhoh3:

For now, ny state and florida is the one that is not that strict. Florida doesnt require toefl. Some states really require it even though the mode of teaching in phil is english. :/

Guys, do u know any state that we can challenge taking the LPN? Coz i tried to call some state boards like nebraska, nevada, mary land and 4 other states.. But no :(

hi melai, am willing to help u but can you tell us if were we can find the form of DECLARATION OF NURSING EDUCATION or/LICENSURE? i called the BVN a day ago in the guy told me that i would receive their response this july and i guess i would have the same response like u had......and, actually, the BRN only transfer the copy of our TOR to the BVN not all of our nursing record though..

the declaration of nursing education/licensure will be sent by the BVN after your initial evaluation.

oh i see. try to call BVN cali or your state if you can endorse your LVN/LPN license there after your exam. coz i have a friend she got her license here in Cali and she endorsed her LVN license to New York.

Guys, i want to challenge the LVN in cali but i dont know which method to use. Im just a graduate nurse in the philppines coz after grad we flew here in usa.. Is there also other state beside cali that we can challenge the LPN? Thank u guys..

In what way are you challenging the LVN? To me you are applying therefore just follow instructions on the BVNPT website on submitting application
