Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

No result yet. As of their last email, they will just contact me towards the end of March for the outcome.

Same response for me. :)

SO we are in the same boat...by the way,my frend, are you going to accept their offer at Castlemaine Health if you are choosen for the June intake? you will waive your CON offer?I spoke with the Education Assistantand she informed me that last year it was like 150 applicants compiting for 10 openings! pretty stiff competition I would say....

They will respond to you after few days upon receipt of your application and will notify you if you need to comply something. But in terms of the informing the students about the outcome of the application, yes it will take months because of the huge number of applications they received. My application was lodged September 2012 and I was just informed this February 2013 about the outcome of my application.

did you apply through email or post?

still thinking between alpine health (with offer letter already for june 24) and AAON (upcoming interview on march 12 for june 6 intake.) hope i'll be making a sound decision at the right time.

did you apply through email or post?

AS FAR as i am concerned, i applied through the post via a courier. a little bit more expensive, but i wanted to be schure that the whole application packidge will be handed in person. And it is the fastest way. Then i just made a call to check it with Irene Wong that she actually accepted the envelope.

did you apply through email or post?

I think my application was sent through email by my agent (I am with Philman)...ACN emailed me (few days after) for the supporting docs of my vaccination, and I just emailed them the documents.

Hmm.. I am going with ACN. I hope things will be well. Securing a slot for Castlemaine is really tough. I believe they are flooded also with applications and they are only allowed to accept a minimal number of students. But let us just be positive. Let's hope and pray that we can secure a slot from Castlemaine.

could you also add me in your prayers? ;-) I have an offer letter for lonsdale/alpine health but castlemaine is quite cheaper and earlier. I do hope and pray that we'd be classmates there....;-)

I will pray for you too, dear! but grab your offer letter, you are lucky already!

oh, that's sad.

how about IHNA are they also particular when it comes to experience?

hi kharineh,

IHNA requires at least 2 yrs of experience although I think they still accept students without 2 yrs as long as they pass the interview..

wow that was fast! I emailed them last december and until now no letter yet. I sent them another email yesterday. Hope ahpra-wa would consider my request..heard they're allowing extensions. Thanks by the way! :)

Hi rsa_0513! I've been reading this thread. I was just wondering if you were able to get an extension of validity of your LOE from AHPRA WA? If yes, how many months did they give you? Thanks.
