Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Ask for extension. Contact your officer and explain the situation

I got mine at asian hospital in alabang. I chose to have the immunisation again instead of serology cos the later would cost me more

Good day marklouiemarco,

For your immunizations, did you just get the form for the doctor to sign from your school? or did your doctor supply the form? is it from a prescription pad? or does the doctor need to type it in a computer, print it then sign? Thanks thanks!

Hi! Anyone here already received their offer letter for May Intake in College of Nursing? How does College of Nursing send their offer of Acceptance? Is it by post or by email? Your response is highly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!!

Good day everyone. But it seems that this day isn't really good for me. I had this sort of a bad experience with our very own PRC when I asked them to send my Certificate of Good Standing directly to AHPRA. To my disappointment, those at the Public Assistance Office (or the information section as we call it) don't really know how it's done, I mean, the whole process wherein the said document must be sent directly to AHPRA from PRC. Those at the counter even had to argue a bit on how it's going to be. Sigh... They even told me to go to a particular window..to a particular Mr.*, but Mr.* told me to inquire about this matter from Ms.S, and finally she was able to answer my query. What the ?>!*( Well, anyway, to cut the story short, requesting PRC to send the said document is as simple as buying a PRC envelope (without stamp) at window T, and then letting the courier (WWW Express) send it directly to AHPRA by paying them php1,300 (I think the price is quite reasonable since the mail is to be sent to another country). This courier is already situated inside PRC (it's actually beside the "photo booth"). The one at the counter told me that the mailing process will take about 2-3 days, and that is after 3 days, my document will already be in Aussie (hurrah!). But there's another option, and that is by the use of registered mail. I don't know how it's done, but the mailing process is slower than by courier (that's according to Ms.*). So there...

hi qumberlee! Can I ask how did the CON send the letter of Acceptance?Did they send it via post/courier or email? How did they inform you that you are selected for the April's intake? Is CON ANMC accredited already? Thanks for your help!

It's a document coming from your GP. Ask them, they know that for sure.

Sometimes, you just have to read the instructions carefully as the answers for your queries are already there as well.

Hi how about your health insurance. Is it required before applying for the 456 visa? Did you avail the BUpa health insurance that was emailed by ihna or opted for other insurance company? Maybe others are cheaper. I just got my account details for elearning but i cannot log in yet.. I dont know why. Did you also get the clinical pre requisites email? Like the criminal record, code of conduct, immunization form etc..? I already paid for the afp clearance check. Thank you!
