Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Hi! I'm new here and as i read the thread, i really find the site useful. So may i just ask some advice. I had my loe from ahpra last dec 2012 and just today, i've passed my req'ts to con/acn. My aunt there in nsw submitted my papers and she was informed that may intake was already full. I'm just wondering if i need to consider other schools because it seems that con has loads of applicants for the bridging program. I really don't want to consider other school because my relatives are in nsw but if i really need to then i have to start submitting req'ts on other schools. What is the best thing to do? Thanks in advance!

hi coleen! my intake is on July 12th, Perth campus. Are you done with the online course? :)

I think you need to follow up them. I think june is already full and the avail slot is august. But to be sure you can inquire them. I applied last november 2012.

hi everyone!

For the MMR vaccine and Varicella vaccine, do I really have to have two shots for each? I was told by my center that one shot each is already enough. THe brand they used had effects which lasts for 3 years already hence not needing 2 shots.

Anyone ? please enlighten me. I'm for Unisa. Thanks!

You need to ask your school about that..

Try other schools instead of waiting for just one, esp con because they really have lots of applicants. Aleast youve got options. It is much easier to settle an accommodation rather than brag for an extension of eligibility.

hi im also for july intake at perth.

how did u pay your enrollment fee? i tried paying online on their website but it requires the invoice number.

about the insurance? which insurance company did u use? because ihna doesnt cover the health insurance.

about the visa, i understand they prefer the business 456 visa which is only for 3months. is it enough for the whole bridging program? because the program itself is 3months and we still need to process our registration after the program.. is it true that u need to leave aussie after 3 months when issued this kind of visa? is it ok to apply for another type of visa like the student visa? so ill have enough time to process my registration and find a hospital that will sponsor me?

hope someone answer my queries. Thanks!
