Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Hi arah m! I can't send messages right now. Goodluck with your paperworks. Can you give me some tips to what they ask during the interview? i'm up for an interview this friday.

That is a wonderful news and I really happy for you. It is great to study together. I hope you can get the visa before 25. The orientation day are 27 and 28 Sep, you are required to arrive Melbourne 2 days earlier. I will be there on 25 as well. I have not received your invitation in FB yet. Definitely, I will accept you. ^__^

wow! thank you for your reply thai-midwife.:) really appreciate it a lot! :)) but I'm still way beyond you and bigbrowneyes.hehe I applied for feb 2013 intake. Did you also submitted your scanned documents through their email? recently I inquired AHPRA if AAON is really an accredited BP provider cause they are not in the list of approved programs of study. Just want to know if you can shed some light on the issue.. Good luck to you and bigbrowneyes!

AAON is one of partner campuses of University of Ballarat. There are only 2 schools who run the PPOQN Program for the university and AAON is one of them. You go to site of university of Ballarat and search for PPOQN Program then you will see. Their accreditation expire August 2014, that means it is a safe course to take. ^__^. Hope this can reassure you.

I don't know yet. I just submitted my application in IHNA. help..thanks for the reply. :)

Thank you so much Thai-midwife for your reply. That's really a relief to know. But I still haven't heard anything from AAON yet..:( How long have you waited for them to reply upon submission of your scanned documents? I'm starting to worry now.. TIA..:)

I submitted my application on 3/08 and had an interview on 20/08 then received the offer on 29/08. The whole process probably takes a month, I guess. I suggest you to email them asking for your status. You might be able to get in the Jan 2013 intake. Meanwhile, do some preparation as I heard that is not every one pass this course, this is in general with any providers too. It is a tough course!!!

Is it really required to apply first in ihna before you can enroll in a school for bridging program?tnx

tnx. is it ok to submit application forms in different schools? I'm worried since the forms must include the credit card number..

another thing, is it ok to apply to the approved schools provided by the letter from AHPRA even if my ielts has expired? thank you..
