Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Hi everyone down with out first week at acn, it's a lot of things, has online assessments and stuffs but is very manageable.Don't be too anxious about it we all be fine. It's fun to meet new friends.

i wanna hear from those who has done BP in monash or elsewhere esp @ official hows the ahpra registration doing, it would be nice if you guys can update us here esp on the process and timeline.

Goodluck everyone.

Hi rejai !!!! Im glad that you've posted your experience.. I hope to hear from you on your upcoming weeks.. I'm glad that your enjoying your learning :) Was the first week done in the university? And is the online assessment done at home?.. Is the assessment difficult?? Did someone fail the assessment??? Really anxious about this BP since it costs a lot and failing this program would be very depressing.. I only worked for several months in the hospital and I don't have much of the experience.. I really hope to hear from you. Thank you and godbless

Hi guys..been reading posts in this forum for quite some time now..I just would like to ask if how much show money is needed for business stream visa 600?and would it be really 3mos saved in a bank?any response would be helpful..

I'm also interested in being a nurse in Australia. I'm nursing grad in the Philippines and will be taking my NCLEX for the 4th time already this month. I don't have any work experience yet. Will it matter if I passed the NCLEX or not since I don't have any work experience? Because I'm planning in to lodge my application now

The Nursing in Midwifery board of Australia, really could not give not much credit to the NCLEX unless you are a nurse from the USA. Have you passed your own national exam would be the question. If not I doubt that NMBA would consider your application.

Once I pass the NCLEX, am I not a nurse in the USA? I didn't take my local boards, does that mean I am not eligible for the bridging program? Or will they just ask me to study for a longer period of time like for 1 year?
