Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

I would just like to ask if do you have to go to the AHPRA where you lodged your application for the identity requirements? Also, regarding the registration after the IRON program, do you still have to file your reg on the same AHPRA branch you lodged your app for the bridging program? Thanks!

No, you can file your documents in any ahpra after bridging. Then they will just send your docs to the branch where you originally lodged your papers.

Yes, I heard Victoria's processing time is fast but due to the volume of applicants they are receiving now i think it's not as fast just like before.

Thanks again Annie! You're a big help! I'm in the process of reading and weighing everything regarding AHPRA and IRON program. I'm in the Marshall Islands and planning to go home in the Philippines to take IELTS, work on my documents then send my application. I'm planning to send it to Victoria but kinda worried that I might not have an extension if ever I will have a hard time looking for a school.

Yes, 2 months.

Got an offer letter for IHNA perth July 12, 2013! God is so good!:') Anyone else for that intake? I'm starting to look for accommodations...

ETEA here for June.. Anyone???

Looking for a place to stay is quite a pain in the neck. Can't even find decent places around the school, and even if there were, they're ridiculously expensive.

Hi!

Do we really need 2 doses of mmr and varicella vaccine? My immunization provider said one of each vaccine is already enough. Should i insist of having 2 shots each?

Hi there,

Is there anyone here who had her/his bridging at Mercy Health Training Institute? I need some information as to how the bridging course goes in that school? I am for May 14 intake and as I tried to review the threads, I couldn't find any that talked about Mercy Health.
