Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

Hello anyone, I would just like to ask if ever an ACLS/BLS training is required before taking the bridging program? Is it really an urgent requirement? thank you so much.

Thank you to all members of this forum. I did everything on my own. I self reviewed IELTS, lodged my IELTS application by myself, passed the IELTS this year February, gathered my documents while waiting for my IELTS result, submitted and secured my LoE from AHPRA on July 23, 2013, which is after 4 months since lodging my application on March 22, 2013. I passed the online interview of IHNA two nights ago and got an offer letter the next day. It pays to read this thread thoroughly. I did that even before I applied to AHPRA to make sure I'm doing everything right. Is anyone here for Oct 2013 intake of IHNA? It would be great to meet you before our intake. Message me here or reply to my comment.

hello! I'm also for IHNA Melbourne October 2013 intake. Lodged my visa last Saturday at VIA Cebu, received a text message from the Australian Embassy last night acknowledging that they received my dox, so now I'm just waiting for the email advice regarding the medicals.

Glad to find a future classmate here. :) I'm from Dumaguete, how about you?

Thank you.. I guess I have my docs completed. How long was it until you got your visa?:)

Thank you so much for you response kingkoy007. :) I thought APHRA NSW processes faster than any other state but i have been waiting for my LOE for almost 5 months.. while others got their LOE in less than 4 months. but it's okay :) Godbless to all of us. cheers! :)

Depends. I had mine through Victoria and if I remember correctly, it didn't take that long. Welp, like you said, Godbless to all of us! :)

See you all here soon! That is, if anyone's for Melbourne :(

Hi there! :) i could not send you PMs because your inbox might be full. Anyway. just wanna thank you for replying on my inquiry. Godbless you! :)

You are welcome. :)

So far I have lodged my visa application for subclass 600 last august 8. Awaiting email for medical exam.

I think where you stand in the 'ratings'' of your nursing exam is of no consequence to DIAC, or AHPRA - as long as you are a Registered with PRC, but good luck in getting your visa soon! :)
