Bridging Program in Australia

World Registration

Published

Hi. I am new here. I don't know exactly where to go. I am a registered nurse here in the Philippines and I am interested in studying in Australia for a bridging course that will help me become a registered nurse there. I need some help on looking for a good school that offers a bridging course.

My aunt told me that a friend of her friend just went to AU to take up a test and in 6 months she's there for a bridging program. and I have this friend who has a friend who became a registered nurse in AU in 6 months time too. This agency is offering me to study for a certificate III aged care with occupational English test for 46 weeks in Einstein College but it costs too much. So now, I am trying to look for a school wherein I can apply by myself and hopefully get in. I am hoping I could leave for AU this June 2011. I am a bit lost on what to do. Can you help me, please? Any suggestions? ? Please help me. Thank you very much. :clown:

(Sydney area would be better since my parents are more familiar and in favor of that place... though other cities/areas will be great too)

im done wd ppd and xray result also sent. have you paid the tuition already?

hello makalipong.. can I ask you about the vaccinations where did you do it..

hello jo_tan! I will be having my intake on Sept. 2013. Melbourne campus. Hopefully, I can process the vaccinations, health insurance etc. I haven't started my e-learning yet. When is your intake btw? and what campus? :)

hi tintin what do you mean by e-learning? as i submitted my application they responded that i will be have an online interview. May I know if what will be the online interview is?

Done with e-learning...it's okay :) just have to find time to finish it within the timeframe of two months ..it's more of basic concepts and nursing in Australia..so you get a good grasp on how it is for them there...and there's also computation and english learning...the mRSA is only what's lacking for now so I am rushing to accomplish it :) I am for august intake

thanx evan10! I plan to begin e-learning as soon as I lodge my visa. Kind of stuck right now since I'm still waiting for the renewal of my passport. About the immunization requirements, I have tried calling all the diagnostic centers in our city, but they don't have immunization serology available.:( what to do?

hello fellow :nurse:!!! can someone help me fill out Form 1415? thank you!

Oh I see...I suggest you really have to do your immunization for all the adult doses to be safe. Even if I know I did have immunization to some of the diseases like chicken pox and all, I still availed of the adult immunization requirements. You will really need to show documents or certificates of your immunization because they will ask for it. As for serology, the only serology I did was that of the Hep-B one which is required along with a proof that you have already had Hep-B vaccines. Go to a doctor to inquire about the immunization. If you have to do it, do so now because some of the doses are required at least 1 month apart.

Hi Jo_tan, I availed the accommodation since I don't have time to look for a place especially that I did have to rush things from the start since I got the offer letter to the time I applied for a visa. If I could have things my way I would have opted to look for a cheaper place (if given the luxury of time). When is your intake by the way? Are you for IHNA melbourne too?

yes but perth campus,Aug 23 intake. regarding the tb immunisation, is it the bcg vaccine 1st or the mantoux test/tst?im done with the other vaccines...mrsa would be my last, still looking for an institution who do mrsa clearance. how was elearning, im still on my module1...are the workbooks okay?sorry if i have too many queries..thank you so much...=)

Hi everyone! I'm up for the August intake at AAON. anyone here who's on the same intake?

It's okay. :) I get the feeling too. :) Anyways I don't know but I never heard of a TB vaccine before. The TB test is the PPD/mantoux test. You can avail that to any pediatrician (yup, according to the doctor I had my immunizations with, Pediatricians are the ones who do the test nowadays). So I don't think you would be needing a BCG vaccine for it. But please ask your doctor about it first to be sure. Where are you from by the way? E-learning is okay. Yup the workbooks are fine. :) Basic concepts, nursing in australia, english learning, etc.. just find time to accomplish those. :)

For my fellow classmates for ACN July,:) do you already have accommodation? I still have none. :( And is travelling alone. I hope to find an affordable place near the school. Any suggestion? Thank you!!
