applying as enrolled nurse in australia

Hello,

I am new in this site and found some helpful tips on other posts. Hope you guys can give me any suggestions or steps on how will i start or continue.

Here's my scenario:

I am a graduate of BSN last 2008, i took board exam but i failed twice... and now i'm thinking of going back to my said profession and continue it in australia.. i've been practicing NA in more than 2 yrs time now and was wondering if i can apply in sydney as an Enrolled Nurse since i have some relatives in their.

What should i do first...

What country are you from and you are aware that EN will not get you a visa allowing you to live and work in Australia?

Im from the philippines. I dont get it. En wont get me any visa for australia? Even working visa?

Ahpra have rules, educated as RN then must be RN. EN is the second level nurse, however the obligations to have worked in the profession of EN in the past 5 yesrs and since EN education, must show 20 hours of CPD each year and pass IELTS of 7 1 is the criteria you must prove to be an EN.

I do not believe on your above cv yiu could cover any of the criteria, being an EN is not a consolation prize for not being an RN in Australia. Yes, they ard on thd SOL list, DIAC seem to be so far behind the times on what is shortage of skills list.

You will most likely havd to do an EN course in Australia and still pass an English test, then try to get sponsorship as it is not 2 yesr course to stay as a graduate.

IELTS is a band of 7 and 7 in each subtest for EN or RN.

There never is and in my opinion when it comes to healthcare and responsibility for the lives and safety of others....there shouldn't be an easy way/shortcut.

Why would you think that an EN would require a low level of English?

Do you even know what duties an EN performs and their responsibility level? That many ENs are actually quite well educated and chose to be an EN?

WRONG and NO, as a student of any nursing course you will need IELTS of 7 as there will be absolutely no point being a student nurse if you cannot communicate very effectively with your patients and be safe and on top of this you need IELTS at 7 in one sitting to be registered as an EN with AHPRA. Just studying here does not get you out of IELTS, even born here Australian nursing students have to prove their english capabilities to be regidtered with AHPRA RN or EN.
