Hi, was just wondering if anyone else here is applying as a nurse in Norway??

I am leaving on sept 8 and want to get in touch with other nurses who is planning/hoping to work in Norway..

Please send me an email or pm

Thanks :-)

I am applying for Residence Permit to Learn Norwegian Language. I only have 800k for the showmoney do you think guys its enough? And so its true that it will take 4 months for our visas to be approved? In Udi.no, Philippines is mentioned as the country with highest number applications.. What do you think would be the reason for denial of visa? do you know someone who had been denied in this type of visa? I am nervous!

hi everyone,

I have done some reading in SAK/SAFH website, and according to what i have read there is this new policy about pre-payment. Before we have to send the documents and then for for them to send us the giro or the invoice but now they say we have to pay up front. I'm just a bit confused because there is this two kinds of payment price, one is for general license per se and the other is for the professions where practical services is mandatory. As a nurse applying for the authorization, which one should we pay?? Any idea everyone? Your answer is highly appreciated. Thanks

Hi!

what you saw in SAK's website about pre-payment of case handling fee is the new rule for applying authorization effective June 1 '13. That means that you have to pay the NOK 1650 via wire transfer from a bank here in PH to SAK's bank account in Norway (details regarding payment is in their website) once you have paid the said fee, you have to ask your bank here to generate a receipt with your name and birthday indicated on it. You will send this receipt together with your other requirements.

Personally, i think this is why processing will be faster especially if you have the complete and right set of requirements although you can never remove the fact that there might be other delays in your way :)

Hi!

in line with application for authorization in SAK, does anyone know how to get certificate of current professional status? I think this is the same with letter of good standing from PRC but I'm not sure, anyone please enlighten me :)

@yvonnegabriel.sb i'm sorry that was NOK 1560 :)

Hi @ravi24!

yes, there is show money and they total at least 700kPHP. I must warn you though that once your visa gets approved, they expect you to spend atleast that amount for your studies, housing and everyday expenses for a year, so technically, it's not just show money, you will definitely spend that money to get you settled in Norway for a year (This is a bit expensive but atleast you can find a part time job :) )

@mjmj and gemsky: yes guys, as of june 1 we should pay first then attach the invoice or the receipt in our documents and send it to SAK. That is the new policy. No more waiting for giro..

@ichineemarie Hi...Yes that is exactly what was in the SAK's new policy. No more waiting for giro. Just pay and send them the receipt together with your documents. Anyways, do you have your authorization already? And how about ur visa?If you already apploed for the visa, how is the process? Do u really have to register online through norwegian embassy in the philippines? And then wait for an appointment? Or Should we go directly o the embassy to hand our docs? Hope you can help me with this. And regarding to your question, yes it is a good standing certificate and everything about your current professional status. Like if u are currently employed, details about your employment, and such things.

Hi, do you have other sample study plan? I already have my study plan but I indicated that the class I wanted to join is the September class schedule. Do you think it is Okay? And I booking date also for a hotel was september.

And another thing is, I already have Study Plan, but then I was so confuse because in the New Checklist at Norway.ph and also at UDI.No, There is also DOCUMENTATION OF ADMISSION or be able to document a norwegian course you are going to attend and the other is A plan for the norwegian courses you will be attending during your stay in norway.. Is it already the study plan??

@yvonnegabriel.sb Hi! No, i haven't applied for the authorization yet, I have been considering Canada since my grandparents are there. Anyway, back to the topic - I haven't applied in the embassy either. If you are going to apply, then you need to apply online first then set an appointment, I think it's actually faster if you do it online rather than going straight to the embassy.

by the way, thanks for the information about the certificate of good standing, if they are true, mine would probably be almost blank since i'm not currently hired, and I don't have a paid job experience, I'm basically a bum since 2010 :(

@DeejayTorquator Hi! the new checklist is basically the same as the first one :) Your study plan should be okay since the new checklist says, you can submit an admission letter from the school you'll attend OR you can submit a copy of what courses you plan to take in Norway. If you don't mind, I would suggest that you have a contingency plan. For example, if you arrive in Norway after September, then that blasts your earlier plan! It would be safe to search for other schedules before and after september, also remember that if you want to work in Norway you need to pass atleast Norskprove 3 which will probably take atleast 4-5 months of study (actually depending on how fast you learn the language), If ever you pass the exam in 5 months that leaves you with 7 months chance of looking for a full-time health care job in Norway and successfully acquire a work permit. It's pure suggestion, all decision is yours to make :)

Good luck to everyone!!!

i was interviewed yesterday and they have a new checklist .. the interviewer was so annoying :D

hi, the documentation of admission is like a proof that you have already been accepted by a school, study plan is diff

hi guys this is really a bad news my cousin who is from Norway have told me that there will be a change of policy in Norway, due to a lot of our fellow Filipino faking documents just to be granted a student visa to work and not really to study..Norway will soon abstain giving student visa to study Norwegian Language specifically to Philippines...I am very devastated because I just submitted my documents last June 28, although this is not confirmed yet ;according to a reliable source it might happen soon ..:(
