(just sharing) so that means there are 15 states that have the same concurrency issues...

Sep 24, '12 by steppybay16 now, if NY and NJ are truly going to enforce the same concurrency rules, as NV just started also, as based on another poster's love letter received in Aug. 2012.
I think the next couple of States will soon be FL and TX, those are the most other popular States to work in for USA educated nurses.
I know others are thinking it's a way for the US to downgrade the international students and nurses, but guys, the reality and the long and short of it, there was ALWAYS the concurrency requirements for decades, it's NOTHING new at all. Looking at the above documented letter, it's been in NV since 1952! The year some of our parents were born!
In CA, it's been there since 1987, the year maybe many of us were born!
The bottom line is NOT a conspiracy theory by any of the States against the international students or nurses, if anything it IS the CONSPIRACY of our own CHED, PRC and PNA that truly undermined the thousands upon thousands of us PH students!
The true conspiracy is that the CHED and others took advantage of the "nursing shortage" situation and made it a HUGH money maker for their own personal need of power and the greedy wants to line their pocketbooks with us PH want to be nurses.
In fact, we should be glad and happy that the USA did allow the previous international nurses to work in the States, even knowing of the concurrency rules or else guys, guess what? There would have been NO Phils nurses in the States at all, that's the reality.
The fact the States are now enforcing the rules only means the CHED, PRC and PNA didn't think it would come to this and look at the recent results today. The CHED are rushing to to make the adjustments as soon as possible so they can meet the minimum requirements.
But now, what's going to happen is that with the flood of USA educated nurses and students being educated yearly, it will drastically drop the hiring rate and process if they see your education was from outside the States, as more and more USA hospitals are hiring local students, students who worked and did their clinicals in their hospitals or to hire "preferably" if their degree is from a US based college.
Oh, there will be possible jobs for us PH nurses, but not in the hospital settings that me and many of my friends and probably speaking for many younger nurses. Those jobs are being a personal care taker or giver, home health provider, nursing homes, LTC and SNF, please don't take offense guys, if that's your cup of tea and not knocking them jobs down, they are places that do need those type of workers but it's NOT mine nor or my many PH friends.
I would like to work in the Pediatrics unit, many friends want to work in the ER, ICU, Onology, L&D, Step-Down units, flight nursing, NICU, PICU and other many many nursing specialities avail to all.

Sep 27, '12 by KuyafernNevada did start to reject applicants due to concurrency and lack of hours in certain subjects. It would depend on the course by course evaluation of CGFNS. Lately there have been 2 filipino applicants succesfull in getting an ATT in Nevada despite having concurrency problems. Previously other applicants were denied because their course by course evaluation stated that they lacked hours in physical assessment subject. It seems CGFNS does make mistakes too. So if you plan on applying and you have your CES report make sure they are correct.
If there is a mistake, it is adviced that you creat a hand written letter to CGFNS stating that they have made an error concerning the number of hours and the specific subjects. I don't think they accept emails or typed letters. I'll let you know what happens to my application in Nevada.

They need to limit the amount of incoming nursing students as it's mentioned here in a couple of published articles, there are over producing nurses in a global world that is not hiring like years before.
Philippine schools hiring "inexperienced students to teach the clinicals, some of whom I knew were just recent grads themselves" - You can only speak for your own scholastic experience. You must have graduated from a mushroom school in the Philippines, then. I'm sorry.
This is not the norm in the Philippine education, though.
I hope that (your) the school you mentioned was one of those that were shut down by CHED. - Admin

Please do not post personal BON letters from other sites unless you are the letter holder for privacy sake. States look at each INDIVIDUAL application for uniqueness information presented. - Oct 7, '12 by KuyafernI would suggest calling Washington State about this. I've looked at the application form and there was a portion that said to list the license from a country/or state trained. I don't know if this means it is required. Just have concurrent cases, so that the state won't require you to enroll. WA does enforce concurrency issue.

I have problem with concurrency issue.. what is the best option?
