Where are all the online NP graduates?

I have been searching and reading and reading some more. I seen many old posts of students doing the online NP program at many different schools. I would like to know who has graduated and what online program you did? Pros and Cons? Cost? I am considering Walden's online FNP program but it is new and too soon to tell how it is, but cost is great with books included. Any help would be great!

Online programs have much higher attrition rates compared with in-person counterparts, so that may be why you're having a hard time finding graduates.

I did online ADN to BSN to MSN and then two post-MSN CNS certs - no problems whatsoever getting hired.

It kinda makes you wonder where all the NPs are coming from. In my area your cant find an in person program.

The whole online vs in-person debate is just getting old. I have never heard attrition rates are higher with online degrees. If you don't personally put in the time to learn the content you will not succeed and that is the same for any type of learning format. I was talking to a med student recently and she said almost all of her beginning classes were online. She said they had the lectures if you wanted to go to class, but that they recorded and put them online, so most students just watched them online and didn't go to class. There is a lot of content that does not require a physical presence to learn.

I attended UABs online program...loved it. Online programs are becoming more and more competitive.

OP- some things to consider:

Is program accredited , by whom

Do you have to find your own preceptors-how hard will this be? Is your program in one state and your preceptor opportunities in another?--

Do other states recognize your degree if you want to be licensed in another states

In my experience, employers are looking for work experience, possession of a degree, and board certification.
