I work Mon-Thursday 10 hour shifts, I take call from 0600-1700 on the days I work.

I see anywhere from 10 to 60 patients/day depending on location. I drive approx 500-800 miles per week to reach the dialysis units I work in....

I work Mon-Thurs 4 x 10hr shifts, currently doing 6:30-4:30p as that works best for me (I can start anywhere from 6 to 8am and finish 4 to 6pm).

No weekends, holidays, nights or call.

My previous job had rotating shifts including weekends and holidays. I worked 7-5, 4 x 10hr shifts.

Monday thru Friday 8-5 (usually done by 3 or 4) no holidays,nights, weekends or call!!! I work with an intensivist group.

I'm still in school too, however there are NPs in the ER of my facility that still work the 3/12 option. I love that. I really like 12 hour options because it allows time at home and to be a Mom. One of them works 1p-1a, one works 11a-11p, and one works 6a-6p. They run a redi-med type clinic within our ER system. Love their job. I'm hopeful that because I already work there and am in a fairly high up administrative role, I'll be able to bid on a job like that when I'm done with school. I worked in a private practice, 8-5pm, 5 day/wk gig for over 10 years and I liked it, but I REALLY don't want to go back to something like that.
