What states are hiring new grad NPs? - Page 2
Register Today!- Oct 10, '12 by cohen283I graduated this past June from a Grad Entry Pediatric NP program (so I had no nursing experience). I received 3 job offers: one in Ohio at an office where I did clinicals, one in PA, and one in IL. The last two were positions I found on the NHSC website, and qualified for loan reimbursement. I would highly recommend looking at that site, and at any under-served sites you can find. I have found that under-served areas hire a lot of new grads, as they are more in need of providers.

I'm so glad to hear you had luck with the NHSC website. I'm planning on doing the same thing when I graduate (it looks like there are a lot of openings for my specialty - psych). I have a question - how did you contact the sites with openings? Did you just call them and tell them a little bit about yourself... or email info or fax? Haha, I'm getting ahead of myself (don't graduate until 2015), but I figured it's never too soon to learn how to put myself out there.

Just curious... I'm a bit paranoid about getting a job when I graduate (which isn't for several years, but oh well).Get moving. I just did for a $32,000 raise.
