For all of you experienced NP and senior NP students what tools should this new NP student invest in that will help with my studies and clinical practice? Thanks for all the help in advance.

Well, since I'm in psych the only tool I carry around with me is my brain. Always there; never misplace it. It's never stolen. :smokin:

lol Zenman.

Okay - I'm both a student (peds CNS) and a practicing APN (adult health CNS). Here is what I like:

iPhone - start with the free stuff then as you advance and specialize, add on.

Maxwell's - I have this both on my iPhone and a print version. When I'm dictating on my phone, I like to use the print version to ensure I'm not missing anything.

Pad of sticky notes - for phone messages, to add a pt name to my list, etc.

Two pens - one always goes dry when I least expect it.

Reading glasses - because I'm pretty blind without them - lol

Pt list.

I used to carry much more but now I'm down to the basics.

Good luck in school.
