    $150k, outpatient psych, Sacramento, 36 hrs a week.

    Our salaries are in the public domain: University of California San Francisco Human Resources. Just type Nurse Practitioner in the search box, majority of NP's fall under NP2.

    It's outrageous the closer you are to SF but not impossible...there are more renters than home owners as the average home price is around a million dollars.

    I'm a new grad NP going into outpatient psych in NoCal. During training: $90 K, increasing in steps to $100K, $110K, then $140K within 18 months. This is also in a very low cost of living area (1 BR apt rent of $600 to $700 month).

    New grad FNPs and AGNPs are starting at about $100K in the San Diego area, which is a lot cheaper than SF or LA.
