Nurse Practitioners (NP) |
| A Nurse Practitioner (NP) is a registered nurse with advanced academic and clinical experience in diagnosing and managing most common acute and chronic illnesses either independently or in collaboration with a physician. They have prescription authority in all states and provide high-quality, cost-effective and individualized care for the lifespan of the patient's special needs. There are still nurse practitioners currently in practice who were educated through programs that granted a certificate, but today a Masters in Nursing is the minimum requirement to practice and in most states, additional certification is required in the Nurse Practitioner’s specialty area.
