Hi - I am about to start my last semester of clinicals in adult/gero primary care. I will be working with a group who visits home bound elderly and elderly in nursing homes. I have made myself a list of probable health issues that I will see - I was wondering if anyone would be willing to name a few more? I am trying to at least familiarize myself with the more common elderly issues before I begin.
Thanks so much!

This is what I do all day long. Here is what I see the most of: hips and knees post replacement, Protein malnutrition - decreased albumin, edema usually caused by previous, lack of appetite, depression, dementia, some BP issues, constipation, gout, and a lot of electrolyte imbalances. I hope this helps.
