There is no blanket pay rate for any nurse practitioner. Depends on where they are practicing as well as the role that they are practicing in. Even in the same state. Salaries can vary widely.

Also based on experience.

This has the state salaries by state from Advance. I would take them with a grain of salt since there are bound to be low numbers in some states. They also have three cities in Texas below the chart:

The job I took in Texas was pretty much what the ave says, plus full health insurance, 34 days paid vaca, free lunch, etc among other benefits.. So look at benefits as well.

BUT most important of all is look at the job, and not the money.. Unless you don't mind making good money and being miserable..

Huge differences in pay from county to county (and practice setting to practice setting) here in my state. My program had 2 PNP graduates from a recent year working in the same city only 2 miles apart from each other with starting salaries that differed by over $40K (one in a private ENT practice, the other in a RediClinic).

The state averages really will not tell you much.

That is true. Where I live, there is one mid-level making 75,000 and another one one 40 miles away making 125,000.

And here (Southern midatlantic region) FNPs are making 60k. I'm sure it is twice that in Atlanta.

Hello.

I am an RN living in NJ, but I commute back and forth to philly daily and work in Emergency.

I make about $105,000 a year. Mind you, I have been a nurse for 20+ years.

Southern states tend to pay less to their nurses, because the cost of living is lower.

However, where I work... salaries pend on your experience.

Hope this helps!

Just out of curiosity, which nurse made more? The one at the clinic or the ENT office?
