Hello. Well, many states require that you have good scores on your GRE exam, but there are some schools/programs out there that do not factor in the GRE. One of them, the one I plan on re entering, is State University of New York (SUNY) at Stony Brook. They have a distance program which is great for me as my home base is Staten Island, NY which is located 60 miles away (one way)

You could check out this website: www.Petersons.com A very cool website where you can plug in either the college or university name or what type of program you are seeking.

That being said, I do not now when you will be graduating from your BSN program, but do try to keep your GPA up. That certainly would help, some programs do have cut-off GPA numbers.

Good Luck to you,

Thanks Athena, you've been very helpful.:-)

4.0 :D

GPA is not the only criteria, I know of several 4.0 RNs with experience who didn't pass the interview process.

You need communication skills, good gpa and experience to gain admission to most programs.

Must be why I got in:yeah:

I got in to an NP program with a 3.9 GPA, 5 months working experience, and a great personal essay.
