NP abortion providers?

I was wondering if any of you know if NP's or CNM's may, where you live, be first trimester abortion providers. Have any of you been trained in abortion procedures, or know of any advanced practice nurses who provide abortions?

I was trying to figure this out online, and it looks like a few states may permit it, but the information was a bit vague. If it is legal somewhere in the US, I'm curious if clinics often or ever hire advanced practice nurses to actually do the procedure. I know that nurse practitioners are often very involved in follow up visits and in patient prep, but besides that I wasn't sure what APN's could do, and where they could do it.

And yes, that's the scope of practice of CNM's.
