job offers

by np2b?

I am a new grad my husband is well established in his govt job cant relocate, I am not getting any offers in the area where I live St. Louis not even finding any openings. Am I crazy to consider relocating for a year or 2 to make my self more marketable , we have been married 27 years and our marriage is stable yeah the few disagreements here and there kids are grown and I manage quite well on my own always have. Some friends think I am nuts to take a job out of state 4-5 hours away I can come home on weekends advice please. I have a decent job now as a RN but am miserable I just want to do what I went to school for a PNP

I don't think so, especially since you guys are empty nesters go for it!! Communicate, see each other on weekends, and all will be well!! I would say 1 year though not 2.

Lol - my husband lives in Alton, IL because of a job situation and I live near Peoria, IL. We've been married almost 30 years and have been doing the weekend thing for over a year now - not too much fun, but doable too.

There is a gastroenterology NP job open in Peoria.

Nope, FNP or ANP.

I have a friend here who is a PNP but the jobs for PNP are few and far between...at least in my area.

The level one trauma center in Peoria does have PNPs in their Peds ICU 24/7. They might have an opening if you don't mind shift work
