I don't know if I made a good choice job wise

I have not been working for a few years now. So I decided to take a very part time job doing med management for a company that provides geri psych services for nursing home residents.

psych is not my specialty, I used to work in primary care. I guess I am getting cold feet. I haven't started yet, only went in to do paperwork so far.

also the pay is different than how i have ever been paid in the past,

I will be paid based on billable hours. so if I see patients and the billing codes allow for 7 hours for example I will be paid for 7 hours at $40 an hour.

I have only ever been paid hourly, so this is all new to me. I am having nightmares of having 8 billable hours,but being at work trying to complete notes etc for 16 hours!! ( well maybe exaggerating!)

Has anyone ever been paid in this way? does this seem reasonable for compensation.

I am only going to be doing about 8-10 hours a week
