ER or clinic experience

I'm starting a FNP program part-time this fall. It will take 3 years to finish. I plan to continue to work in that period, at least until I start the clinical portion. I have 1 year in an adult emergency department and have an offer to work as a RN in a community clinic setting. I plan to work in a community clinic when I finish np school.

Should I continue working in the adult emergency department or gain experience in the clinic setting?

I would think your roles as a RN and NP would be so vastly different that it wouldn't matter. Clinic seems more user friendly. I'm about fed up with hospitals personally and plan to quit on Aug. 8th (gotta use vacation days first), lol.

I say stick with ER. You'll learn many useful skills and almost everything youll see in a clinic you'll also see in the ER (but not vice versa).
