CNMs are RNs who have completed a graduate program (MSN or, more recently, DNP) with a specialization in nurse midwifery and completed the national certification process. So, you need to finish your basic nursing education and get licensed, and then get accepted to a midwifery graduate program.

There is a specific CNM forum here -- have you looked at that? Lots of good info and discussion:

Best wishes for your studies.

It looks like you are taking the right path so far. Usually after you finish your pre-requisites, you would have to apply to get into the nursing program. And then it looks like CSU Fullerton does have a women's health care concentration, one of the programs being a nurse-midwifery one!

As far as DNP programs, I would search for universities in your area that you are interested in (or even check out distance-learning programs), see if they have a nursing program, and then from the nursing website, see if they have a doctorate program.
