Can a nurse with associate degree get into physician assistant?

Im taking pre courses for nursing. When im done with my associates. I want to enter a BS/MS Physician assistant program. I love nursing, but i want something higher. I dont want Nurse practicioner cause i heard their making you get their DNP now. idk. Im doing the rn first because i have 8 month old and i need the money and job flexibility of nurse. Is it possible?

Keep in mind that for now, you still have the option for the masters NP but you will need the BSN first.

Also, NP education is structured such that you can work as an RN during the schooling, allowing you the income. PA programs are full time so you have limited (if any) opportunities to work during school.
