Another NP Furnishing License Question

Hi everyone, thank you for reading my post.

I graduated in June 2008 and obtained my NNP. I did not start working until January 2013. With the new requirements for applying for the furnishing license, my pharmacology course may not meet the criteria due to the time lapse. I have submitted my application and am waiting, but in the meantime I spoke with someone at the BRN and was told that if my application is declined I would have to re-take a graduate level pharmacology course (3 semester units or 5 quarter units). I spoke with the dean where I graduated and they would accept me back as a post-masters student and it would cost about $10K! Wondering if anyone else has suggestions as to where I could take a graduate level pharmacology course if it ends up that I need to.

Thanks for your time!

Creighton has an online graduate peds/neo pharmacy class that should only run you about $3k. You can ask if you can do it as a special student status, non-matriculating.

If you don't mind me asking, why did you wait so long between your degree and taking the test?

Hi and thanks! I'll look into Creighton. I actually graduated and passed my board certification, but continued working as a bedside NICU RN and started a family....I was very fortunate to get this job, but now I'm wishing I had done it sooner! =)

They have scheduled 6 day in person course ( not online) for about $900.
