Help new position

  1. 0 Hi I am currently a staff nurse. I have recently been given the opportunity to take a position as a bed flow coordinator and supervisor. While I am very in this opportunity, but it will be at the same hospital I currnetly work in. This means I will be supervising nurses I currently work with. I am curious has anyone here done this and how difficult was the transition.

Treat them fairly and with respect. Most will be happy for you and respect your new position. Make your expectations clear but don't become a dictator, just be yourself. Those that do have conflicts with your new role, handle them professionally. Everything will work out. You have what it takes to be great in the position or you would not have been given the opportunity.

Congratulations and I wish you well!

Thanks the biggest concern is leaving the a non union position. But this is the route I want to travel so gonna have to do it!!! I think I have to find the confidence in myself that others see.
