Appropriate thank you letter post-interview

Nurse managers...I need your advice please!

Today I had my 2nd interview on the unit I precepted on in nursing school. I want to send some thank you letters to the staff that interviewed me (2 nurse managers, 1 RN, and 1 tech). They all know me on a personal level from the 2 months I spent on their unit precepting, and we have all been addressing each other by first names.

Here are my questions for you:

1. Is it ok to use a "cute", but tasteful, card? (I have some with little birds on it with the quote "Every Single Day, Do Something That Makes Your Heart Sing.")

2. Is it ok to use their first name on the inside of the card?

3. Am I over-thinking this and asking stupid questions?! :wacky:

I want to keep the conversation in the thank you cards casual and personal. Thank you for any advice you can offer!

Thank you notes have been the "seal-the-deal" for me in many instances so I'm glad others do this. If you have a personal relationship with these people I think it is definitely appropriate to use first names and any card is appropriate. I usually try to mention something specific each person said and comment on that in the card as it lets them know you were paying attention to what they said and put thought into the comments. Good luck!
