Yelled at by another nurse in front of a pt

A nurse yelled at me horribly as I was giving report to him in the patients room. He yelled at me for something he think I should not have done. The horrific thing about is that the patient was watching it. I didnt want to yell to escalate it, then he stormed out to the nurses station, were all other nurses are throwing his hands up, making a scene. At the end of the day, is it necessary to be so dramatic. I am spiritual, and pushing to stay that way. I've talked to God about it, to contain me because I know the sight of him might irritate me. Any comments of wisdom will help me if you've experienced something reckless and embarassing as such.
