Hello guys! How's everybody doing? I need some advice with an employment-related problem, I'm having a hard time deciding, so here it goes:

I am a full-time RN at hospital A and I LOVE LOVE LOVE it. Now the problem is, I am now in a financial turmoil and the best option to get out of it is to get a second job...so I applied to hospital B for a prn position. Now hospital B is willing to recruit me, provided that I undergo 8 weeks full-time (40 hours, 5 days) of orientation. This would of course affect my job in hospital A. Now what I am thinking is I would talk to my supervisor in hospital A (which wouldn't happen until Wednesday) and see if we can work something out...if we can actually work something out.:smackingf What I was thinking was MAYBE he could switch me from full-time to a part-time position where I would only work once per week and I will lose my benefits (which is ok with me), and then after 8 weeks, I can maybe apply to get back to a full time position in hospital A. Now the question is, is that possible? I know everything depends on company policies etc. etc...but I just want to know if there is a possibility for such a thing to be done. Hospital A is a really great place to work in and I don't want to leave it, but I really need a second job. My supervisor in hospital A is really nice too, but I don't want to look like I'm abusing his niceness. What should I do?
