The Mockery of Nursing

Nurses Relations

Published

Just a bit ago the top three threads involved:

1.I have a DWI. Can I be a nurse?

2.I am stupid. Can I be a nurse?

3.If it takes me five times to pass NCLEX, Can I be nurse.

Not much left to add. Says it all.

Yeah, pretty much.

Some days it makes me chuckle.

Some days it makes me disgusted.

Some days I think I just need to step away from allnurses.

The number 3 post is actually doubting the abilities of those who have to take the NCLEX 5 times, but I agree, in order to be a profession, we need professionalism.

The same questions that have probably been asked over and over since the dawn of DWI's, NCLEX and stupidity....the only difference is that 20-30 years ago you didn't have the internet to display such questions for the whole world to see.

So...yeah....

Oh, we need to start a marathon thread... remember that one of greatness I think from the summer?

I think the "I flunked NCLEX 5times" may just be the next marathon thread. Bet that comes back to the surface for years.

I'm a "pre nursing student". What the heck?

"My dream is work with children". For crying out loud.

"Should I be an LPN, RN, MSN, NP, or go to medical school?" I don't care.

"Do I have to see pee, poop, vomit, blood, and deal with sick people to be a nurse?" Uh, yeah.

"I took a friends valium and my drug test came up positive. Can you help me?" Is there a shorter answer than NO?

:yeah:

Here we go, keep 'em coming

1. Do you deserve to be a nurse?

2. Are you truly stupid? Then, no.

3. Start over, please. Because you need more education.

And I have a very low tolerance for whining. No matter who you are.

A little filler - -1. how many times were you possibly DUI before you got caught?

2. big difference in an occassional goof-up or constantly being unawares

3. you are scaring me. Just what is the problem??

Sorry, just my take on these issues......

Can I get out of doing "labor and delivery", and oh, um, "old people" in clinicals and still graduate nursing school?
