The Mockery of Nursing

Nurses Relations

Published

Just a bit ago the top three threads involved:

1.I have a DWI. Can I be a nurse?

2.I am stupid. Can I be a nurse?

3.If it takes me five times to pass NCLEX, Can I be nurse.

Not much left to add. Says it all.

I've been reading this thread too long. Found the first ticks of the season on my dogs this AM and called them little formite factories.

I've got one for ya: I was wiping down bp cuffs with disinfectant wipes and as I turned/wiped each one I actually thought to myself "going Fomite Free around here, yes indeedy..."

Sigh. And as I caught myself thinking "don't want this to be a fomite" I THEN thought "I gotta get a new hobby" LOL...

So...wait. Let me get this straight. Someone has failed NCLEX 4 times, but believes she should still be a nurse.

Okie dokie smokey.

Oh, my yes. I don't know which post Beachy is referring to, but I've seen failures of four, five, six times, but don't worry: they're still plugging away, studying and praying. They'll make it, you betcha.

And don't forget the ones that think NCLEX is an outdated method of becoming a nurse. After all, licensure should be granted once you've passed nursing school. Guess the idea that MDs pass boards, JDs pass the bar...nah, our special snowflakes don' need no stinkin' tests...

Yes they just took test #5 this week and feel that the NCLEX should not bE standing in their way of becoming a nurse....replying to someone who has taken the test "multiple" times and has seemingly failed again as per the PVT.

This is where I tend to think "you've been praying for how long to pass this test, and yet you cannot do it....does it not occur to you that your prayers have been answered repeatedly--and the answer was I Don't Think So!"

Or big clues!

I think we're not supposed to give links to specific posts--especially if ridicule is involved.

But I CAN tell you that I took the cues offered here, went to the NCLEX Discussion forum, and followed my nose to the 'horror'.

Well it's a post about the "NCLEX horror" in the NCLEX forum.

So, you didn't like my more subtle answer? ;)

I couldn't stop myself. Said what I thought. Am expecting to be labeled a 'hater' any second now.

I have to remind everyone that nurses are MEAN. Now that I've said that I am switching to Scotch because the wine was gone...and that makes me even MEANER.

What do I know, I'm only an LPN who passed on her first try.

Notice even an LPN know it's passed and not past.

Well it's a post about the "NCLEX horror" in the NCLEX forum.
